I'm just glad I'm not stuck with my $4k mistake. That would have eaten me up for a LONG time. Even if all I ever do is stick with the Boom II equipment at least I'm not out $4k.
OUCH on the $4k
You can have a much better system installed and tuned for that amount of cabbage. Not just installed and say here you go I am done.
What cracks me up the guy that does the Soundz installs in the area always brags how fast he can have a system installed but does ZERO time tuning.

Ya, you and I both know who I'm talking about because when I talked to you on the phone you knew exactly who he was. Only thing I seen him do was adjust the gains on the amp. I didn't see him do one thing to the DSP. I thought I read somewhere that the Soundz DSP is a sealed unit and not adjustable? I'm not sure if that is true. Yes... $4000.00. That was the main reason I got it pulled and refunded. It is not by any means worth that kind of cash.
I mentioned to him when he was here doing the install that the Soundz kit wasn't highly recommended by guys on the audio forum... Well he had some pretty choice words about "Forum Audio Experts". When he was here last night uninstalling it and putting back the OEM equipment he wouldn't even look at me. He was very salty. Is what it is... He shouldn't have offered me a refund if I wasn't happy. I was even a decent guy and paid him for his time doing the swap. He never said I had too... But I did trying to be a good guy.

Two things. They probably dont do any tuning cause its a "canned" system. Same speakers, same amp, same install, all already tuned somewhat to the same canned sound. Same system and setup for every bike he does, based on speaker locations and the number of speakers.
Second, MANY of these "forum audio experts" in places like this, have tried and tested WAY more different brands and equipment than most ppl have, and tuned them all in every way possible.

Exactly... I even asked him if he has ever done any other audio then Soundz in the 30 years he's been an "audio expert". He said no, just Soundz. You know... Looking back on all this that transpired, I completely don't know why I didn't go with my gut and just didn't do that install to begin with. Anyway.. It is what it is now. June MnG can't come soon enough for me now.
Hey jamalla00,
Glad your happy with YOUR decision. Hope you find your UNICORN.......:0)
Hey hoggzzer. I'm sure I'll find my unicorn, and if not.. Well then it is what it is. I'm glad you love your Soundz System. I get it...! Many of the things you love about it, is what enticed me to get it installed. In the end, it just wasn't for me.
