Will Mmats Speakers Fit? 18 Ultra Limited

I currently have Hertz sx165 neo in my fairing. I want to either put som Mmats pa 601cx in there and put the hertz in the tour pack or leave those there and put some Pa 601s in the pack. Will they fit in either place without modification?

The sx neos will fit in the TP with no mods but the mmats need a 1/2" spacer to fit in the TP. Also you will need to mod the pods a bit to fit the mmats in them. What amp are you running?

Currently I have a precision MAA 4.400 I have thebSx neos in fairing and Mmats 601s in lowers running parallel. SX690s in the bags. I just put the TP back on so looking to swap those out. I know I will need a larger amp at some point. Slowly gathering equipment

So if I understand correctly, you are going to end up with 8 speakers all together. Fairing, lowers, tp and lids. If that is the case, you will need 2 amps to give the setup justice. I suggest running mmats in the fairing and lowers parallel, the sx neos in the tp. The reason I suggest 2 amps is to utilize the full effect of your setup. You will do justice to the 6x9's by running them off their own channel so you can get the lows to play. If you parallel them with any 6.5's you cant tune them to play the lower frequencies as that will harm the 6.5's. You can run the tp parallel in mono off 1 channel and the 6x9's mono off the other channel the only way to tune them is with a dsp. I highly suggest a dsp anyway with 8 speakers.

Yes 8 total. I did pick up a Dayton DSP. I have been looking at the new Hertz amp or possibly a SD1200.4 in the future to get the sound all dialed in. The MAA 4.400 does not seem to have RCA inputs so not too sure on making that work correct but I will look more into it. Thank you again for taking the time to reply.

I am running 2 1200.4's. I have the fairing speakers on 1/2 and sx neos in the lowers/tp running parallele off 3/4 giving them 150w each off the 1200.4 4 ohm. It sounds good and loud. You could do that and get a small amp for the 6x9's. I have the other 1200.4 2 ohm running my tweeters in the fairing and a 10" subwoofer in the trunk off 3/4 bridged.
