A couple more questions. I know wiring the amp this way is the easiest route but would the Iron Cross Audio preamp output upgrade be better or worth while? Would their be warranty problems with the wiring?

 

They're not modifying any wiring on the bike so there's no warranty issue there. Any work done by Iron Cross Audio is fully warrantied by them and they're a great company to deal with. Early last year I had Tony install the preamp outputs, iPod cable, and Aux Input cable on the back of my stock head unit. They did a great job.

 

Since I'm just going the 2ch route with the PN2.350D and the MM651's. Would you recommend adding the preamp outputs or just wire through speaker outputs? Is there any sound improvement either way?

 

I don't see the expense being beneficial to you sir. I wouldn't do it. Just go with the high level (speaker wire) inputs.

 

Thanks again! I can't wait to try the new SS, allot of power in a small package! Hopefully, it won't overdrive the MM's at 2ohms.

 

nah.. distortion will kill those polks (or really any properly rated speaker) long before power will.
