Hooking two amps to Sony HU

Need some help please. I have a 12 Streetglide. I have a Sony CTX-565UP HU, RF PBR300x4 amp, SS 520x4 amp, two pairs of MM651 6.5 Polks , and one pair of DXi650 6.5 Polks. I have one set of MM in fairing and one set MM on lids and one set of DXi on lids. My lids hold two speakers each. My question is that my Sony HU only has two RCA pre-outs. Do I use two RCA splitters for the front RCA pre-out going to the SS amp and use the rear RCA pre-out for my RF PBR amp. I set the PBR amp on 2 channel since it will only power the one set of DBi 6.5 polks. Thanks for the help in advance

StuCustom. My recommendation would be to get rid of the PBR300x4 amp and pick up a PBR300x2 and use it to drive the fairing speakers. You cannot use that PBR300x4 to drive the Polk MM speakers at all since they are 2 ohm and that amp is ONLY stable at a 4 ohm load. then use the SS amp to drive the lid speakers.

In the 300x2 configuration you would want to run the front RCAs from the head unit to the 300x2 and then "y" the rear RCA outputs to go into the SS amp for the lids.

actually sorry I see now that you were going to run the 300x4 on the DXi speakers only. I would still get rid of the 300x4 and go with a 300x2.

Are you planning on putting in lower speakers in the future? Is that why you chose to go with (2) 4 channel amps?

Not sure if I will get lowers. Do I split the front RCA pre-out to the SS 520x4 amp and run the DXi on the PBR amp in a 2 channel mode until I decide on lowers? Thanks

yes sir. that's the only way you're going to be able to run the setup with the equipment you have.

Well, not the only way but the only "sensible" way.
