Marine *rated* head units are a joke. Any head unit will work fine, just find whatever features you want/need and get a handlebar control module to retain your handlebar controls. None are going to be 100% "plug and play" however if you look at most of the Sony units, the Biketronics and Hawg-Wired controllers make them pretty much plug and play with the exception of wiring your speakers to the harness that's included. If you want plug and play you'll either have to wait for this Jensen head unit to be released or stay with what you have. IMO you'd be better off staying with what you have if the Jensen is even a thought for you.

The other day I was riding through a town a little north of home cranking Robin Trower and folks a half block ahead of me were turning around to see what was coming. LOL BT ROCKS!!

Thanks for your response, I was thinking about the Alpine HD149BT since I've read nothing but great reviews and picking up the biketronics kit or hawg wired (was leaning towards hawg wired). Still trying to figure out the route I want to go with the amp and speakers. Was thinking about getting the hawgwired package but havent read much on the quality and sound of their speakers yet.

Make sure you get a rain shield and use it regardless of what type/brand head unit you chose.

On my 12SG, after much research I went with

Stock*Headunit*
Soundstream*PN4.520D
Biketronics*Titan*II*6.5”*speakers*

To say it sounds awesome is an understatement. Prices were reasonable, sounds like a concert on two wheels and crisp and clear!

So you would recomend the BT 6.5"s? I am looking at a stereo upgrade soon.

If you can spring for the 7.1" I'd go that route but yes the 6.5" are a great speaker as well.
