Default 01 FLHTCUI with HK, pinout question

I have an '01 Ultra Classic that I put an HK in with Harleypingman's help.

I bought an HK CB module for it and I'm trying to find the pinouts for my factory 23 pin connector so I can re-wire it to the 35 pin connector.

I have the pinouts for the 35 pin, does anyone know what they are for the 23 wire plug? I've attached the pinouts I have for the 35 pin. looking for something similar for the 23.

Thanks in advance!

If no one beats me to it before I get home, I'll post the pinout. I went through the same thing upgrading from an '01 radiosound to an HK unit.

Actually, I had it in Dropbox.

Thanks for the reply. I probably should've been more clear. I need the pinouts for the 23 pin ultra connector, not the main radio connector.

The main radio connector plugs right in to the HK, I'm trying to rewire the ultra 23 pin to a 06+ ultra 35 pin so I can use my intercom and CB.

That's a great spreadsheet though, I appreciate it. I'm sure it will come in handy in the future. Thanks again!

Here's the diagram for the Ultra harness, don't know if that gets you to where you want to be.

it's not as pretty as the other one you posted, but it should work. I was hoping for something that had all the pinouts labeled like that first diagram you had.

Ill give it a shot this weekend. if it works, ill post and easy to use conversion chart for others for future reference.

thanks!

I used that diagram and traced the wires and came up with a chart with pinouts to go from a 23 pin ultra plug to a 35 pin ultra plug.

There are 2 wires from my original 23 pin plug that I can't figure out what to do with. They run to the CB and INT switches on my tank console.

Otherwise, everything was pretty straight forward. Swapping the wires from the 23 pin plug over to the 35 pin was a lot easier than I expected.

I have not tested it yet because I'm still trying to find an adapter for my CB antenna. I might end up going with a fairing mounted antenna, we'll see.

If anyone else is putting an HK on a pre '06 ultra that already has an antenna, the adapter needed is a UHF female to TNC male.

Thanks for that spreadsheet - that's very useful.

OK here's a dumb question: is there another connector on the back of the HK radios other than the 23-pin?

There must be some kind of connector for the front speakers at least.
