Inexpensive and quality is an oxymoron. You can do one of three things but they are going to all probably cost more than you are willing to pay.
1. Send your stock HU to Iron Cross and fix whatever issues you are having.
2. Buy an after market HU with handle bar controls. (several out there)
3. Take a look at this:

Yes after you disconnect everything including the left and right dual 1/4 20 bolts that hold the radio in.....remember the radio gets pulled out towards the front headlight. It doesn't get pushed out towards the ignition lock.

In expensive is relative. I just bought aftermarket Sony HU and Metra controls for about the same as a replacement HK is going for on Ebay. One is plug and play and has decent sound, the other sounds better, but the Metra kit took some wire connecting to get the handle bars control to work. Nothing too difficult.
If you want a stock HU, lemme know....I’ve gone one for sale!! Honestly, if I was “upgrading” my sound. An amp would come before a HU if I wanted improved sound.
