Default Nitrous on a Jims 131

In the process of upgrading from a Jims 120 to a Jims 131. Was interested in the Thundermax Nitrous Assist Dry System at the same time. Any recommendations on the pistons or will the Jims suffice? thanks

As long as they're forged, it'll be fine.

Wheelup is correct, forged is a must but these questions always warrant more questions.
That system looks like it’s top notch, but if you are going to the big motor talk to JIMS about setting the engine up, nitrous makes big power pretty easy.
To get the most benefit while on the spray you need to talk to them about the Cam profile choices. You also need a to take some ignition timing out, so two profiles on the tune.
my bottle experience is on cars, but you set it up the same way. It’s not like Fast and furious at all

Jim's has a proprietary pistons. You will have a hard time finding aftermarket pistons for them. I would have pistons coated valves stainless valves coated and chamber guid to valve clearances etc.,. And a cam with a late intake closing to help with the proper duration of cams. But a 20 Hp shot 93 oct you should be fine on a built 131 jims. I am building 145" 12.1compresion with 100 shot nox race motor. Everything custom made to handle this properly.

with the thundermax system once you input the use of NOS and flip the switch to on the systems makes the proper adjustments to timing and tune.

yes, exactly.
you cant adjust static CR though, so the engine that runs great on a spray tune with the timing retarded, will need more timing to optimize running off the bottle.
with a ECM tune its two tunes programed in, we had to use a timing light and rotate the cap
