Cabot Trail Road Construction

Does anyone have an update on road construction on the Cabot Trail on Cape Breton Island?
I have been following a blog on road trips lately called "East Canada Trip" from Paul of Ohio. It sounded from his comments like some of the construction has roads in a dangerous condition for motorcycles.
It is an awesome ride as I have done twice but wouldn't want to see anyone in a situation where they may not want to be.
Any update I'm sure would help out other riders.

Cheers and thanks!

Sorry my mistake it was 06Mike of Ohio that just recently travelled the trail.
My apologies!

Hey Scorpio,
See my reply to 60Mike in road trips. Are you planning to ride it this year? The road is certainly in bad shape for bikes. I was in a car but if I had the bike out here I would go for it, just take your time. You will need to ride single file, not staggered. You will need the entire lane to avoid the ruts and potholes. I think it will be a few years before it is all completed.
I stayed at a place just north of Cheticamp called Cornerstone Motel. Basic rooms but clean and tidy and the husband and wife are riders too. Nice property next to a river. It's at the entrance to Cape Breton Highlands.
Hope this helps

Thank you Fast66. No, I have no plans to ride the trail this year.
My wife and I rode it last year and the roads seemed to be in decent condition. The winter must have been tough there.
Thanks once agin for the update. I'm sure some riders planning to go there will appreciate the heads up.
Cheers!

Just finished the trail last week, a few bumpy sections and a little bit of construction. No big deal, the road can be rough in some spots and very good in others. Eighteen bikes completed the trip and while there was the usual complaints, everybody enjoyed the trail.
