Does anybody notify their insurance company when you add 'extras' to the bike ? My company [Aviva] asks for the value of accessories on the bike but I never bother with that figuring i'm not gonna get the full value if I have a wreck anyway. What say you guys ?...b.
I've only ever had a claim for an accident that was not my fault so can't really claim to be an expert, but...ins. inspector pointed out my rear signals were not o.e.m. I informed him they were on the bike when purchased so that was o.k. and I got my money...b.
be carefull what you disclose...some insurance companies don't want to insure "modified" motorcycles. I had a friend who had a hard time because he disclosed he had a set of pipes, high flow filter and tuner (basic stage one).
