Default 2 up riding on a harley1200t super low

I'm thinking of buying a 2017 Harley 1200t superlow and want to know if it is a good bike to take my wife along on rides. most riding will be in the city with some country roads at 80 kms or so. I weigh 215 lbs and my wife is about 140 lbs, Ant thoughts ??

I think the payload is exceeded there, I think 300 is max on a Sporty. They arent widely known as two up bikes, it may work if you are both like 125 or something. I bought a Dyna cause I didnt have any luck two up on a Sportster.

Sounds like a great choice for her to go for rides with you,my wife prefers not to ride her own bike and is a happy passenger, but if she wanted one I would certainly get one of those for her.

Just having a little fun there,I don't think you will be at all comfortable riding two up,I'm 6' tall and about the same weight and always felt cramped and pushed too far forward when I had the Dyna and the wife hopped on the back for a ride.It wasn't too bad for short hops, but got uncomfortable for me pretty quickly on the highway.

If they are short trips, with lots of off and on the bike, you should be ok. You might want to look at heavier shocks. The super low will not be as good a shock as a stock one, less travel. If you find the riding enjoyable for both of you, then stepping up to a heavier bike will pay off in comfort.

I had a 2006 Sportster Custom, with Progressive 412s, and detach windshield.
Two up riding on long trips will be uncomfortable, but short trips might not be bad.

Get a Softail Lo Rider or Slim with the 6th gear - you won't regret it.

I had a 2004 1200 custom and always did 2 up riding with the wife. Although she is 5' 3" 120 lbs. she did not like the seat so bought a Sundowner and no more complaints. Also bought Progressive shocks as the Sporty always seemed to bottom out (I'm 170 lbs.) and that fixed the problem. I now own a 2014 CVO Softail Deluxe 110 motor world of difference in comfort for this 69 yr. old body.

I had a 48 and even when I put it back to stock height and added a back rest it wasnt very comfortable ( i'm 205 lbs gf is 120) MY opinion if you like that style of bike consider a softail slim.
