Default Cold weather riding

my 95 ultra would barley stay running on the way home from work the other morning. The weather said it was 0 with -1 windchill and it was very damp. Would this type of weather affect the bikes performance?
thanks

what oil ya using????

Using summer oil is maybe too thick for that temp.......like syrup.

Should be using a thinner oil for those temps......

I will assume you are quoting the temp in Celsius (32 F) windchill does not have much affect. You could have some carburetor icing or a little water in the fuel bowl from condensation getting slushy and clogging things up. Try a little HEET fuel additive and see if it helps, do not use the whole bottle, just the ratio for the amount of fuel in your tank. https://www.autozone.com/fuel-and-en...eze/136368_0_0

Yup, carb icing would be my guess too.

The conditions OP described are the worst for it - temp around freezing with moist air.
