The threads on my fuel tank bung are boogered up. Want to buy a die for it. I know they're 22mm but what is the pitch?

a quick check with google shows a high probability of 3/8 NPT

Take the petcock to a local ACE Hardware or Home Depot. Should be able to find out pretty quick.

 

I did a google search and found that 3/8 NPT was up to 1975, then after that they went 22mm but I found conflicting pitches. I saw one that was 1mm and another that was .75mm..
