A couple weeks ago I was visiting with my Brother-in-law and I mentioned that I had an S&S super B carb with an accelerator pump. He of course thought I was crazy and was mistaking a Super E... I finally remembered to check it out tonight and sure enough, a Super B with accelerator pump. It's the only one I've ever seen or heard of, but I can't think it's that rare. Maybe just a racing carb or something. I've sent a message to S&S and asked them. I'll see what they respond. Take a look at the pics and tell me what you think.

It'll be interesting to hear what S&S say. Perhaps an interim version, prior to the later E?

 

Dam. I remember a friend of mine had a dual throat s&s on a shelf. Keep it, would be a cool piece on a old project.

I don't understand your response. Are you saying the accelerator pump was added by another company? Or are you saying the "SuperBowl" fuel bowl was from another company?

Ok got that... My primary request was about it being a Super B with an accelerator pump. To this point I've never seen a B with an accelerator pump. Is that special made, or did you offer those?

We never offered the carb with the superbowl on it. It was made by another manufacture, people who wanted a pump on their carb could purchase the part from that manufacture and install it. We had nothing to do with it.

After a tiny bit of google searching I've found this as an example.

I'm still going to do some research and see what I can find about the "Superbowl" brand.

It all makes sense now, the accelerator pump is very much a part of the Superbowl, not the original carb casting. That wasn't initially obvious in the photos.
