Default Differences in Carburetors?

Hello,
What is the difference in CV carburetors used in the early 2000's?
The carburetors looks the same but have different part numbers.

Specifically I have a 27412-99D

Can I replace this with a 27421-99A?

Any help and direction would be appreciated.

Thank you
-Joe

Nothing but the jetting. Some late eighties early 90s ones were missing an accelerator pump, otherwise those are the same too. Very little change in almost 20 year run.
