Default Nasty backfire..

Went out this morning uncovered the bike to go to work.
Put key into the ignition, primed the the throttle twice and pulled out the choke, pushed the starter and a nasty *** backfire accured! Sounded like a gun shot.
Waited a few minutes before trying again and bike fired right up? Now I did just put some lucas gas treatment in the tank, and around town I do get a hiccup once in a while, but on long rides no hiccups.

Thoughts?

Thanks

Sounds like the jetting might be a bit much.... not the most familiar with CV carbs but whats the jetting currently in it?

You can always go by the Sticky above....

why are you introducing fuel via the accelerator pump, enrichment circuit should be all you need. if you flood the manifold the rich mix can pass into the exhaust which the next firing can ignite, an overly rich mix will not ignite in the cyl.

I want to say the the jets are 45?
but anyhoo... I had debris in the primary jet, which was causing me an issue. mixture is backed out 2 1/8 turns and runs smoother..
