Hello. I have a 97 sportster 883. I took off the fuel tank to clean it, put it back together. Choked the bike cause it was a cold start. It ran, then died shortly after. And now it won't fire. What could it be thanks.

 

The simple thing first. You shut off the fuel line to pull the tank. Did you turn it back?

 

Yes sir.
I did that as well as choked the bike. It ran, then shut of like it ran out of fuel

 

Vacuum line on the petcock come off? It goes from petcock to carb or intake manifold. YD

 

As said check Vacuum line might be cracked also,
