Default Carb kit 75 sportster

Just brought home a 75 iron head sportster and going thru fuel system befofore I try to start! Could see crap in take and previous owner said had running last spring but needs carb work. Fuel was varnish smelling so if it actually ran it had to be very bad! It has the Bendix carburetor and was wondering if anyone has used the rebuild kit from JP cycle?I'm in process of pulling and splitting the tanks as they gotta be flushed and fuel hoses are like concrete! Any replies appreciated!

JP kit probably the same/same as from Drag, Bikers Choice, Tedds.
Large part of a good carb rebuild is to purchase a carb cleaner that you can use to soak overnight.
Napa has a good one with a dip basket.

glad you brought it up! my can of carb cleaner with Dip basket is dried up! But I checked and got rebuild kit from drag and the kit was much cheaper than JP so it is on the way thank you for your reply Scott!

BTW, I like the gunk cleaner as it usually only takes a few hours. With fresh cleaner if left overnight it will eat too much and damage carb is what I figured out over the years!
