Default 92 sportie with scream'n eagle pipes (stage 1)

My bike doesn't like to drive around 25 to 30MPH. it coughs and pukes. especially when the temp is below 48*F. the warmer the temp the better she runs. she runs well at 50MPH.

I think it has stock jets. Any suggestions with which size jets to try? if elevation is a factor I ride mostly in the Seattle area so we are concerted sea level.

CV Performance has the perfect tune kit for that carb. I used one on my '92 1200.

A stock c/v carb has a blanking plug over the idle mixture screw, to comply with EPA regulations. It is normal to remove that plug so we can alter slow running and if that has not been done to your bike, that alone may well improve things. However what gear are you using at 25-30mph? Sporties like to run with a decent few rpms

I want to say between 2nd and 3rd. more in 3rd than second.

Another issue with CV carbs is when you get to temps nearing 40 ice starts to form on the venturi and covers the idle jets until the bike warms up.
