i personally like the T-Jet upgrade, to get the most out of it, it should be tuned on a dyno by someone that knows how to do it, Scott should be able to give you a baseline set up for it as I'm sure he's done more than a few. follow his directions and take it in to get checked.

marco, thank you for your time and advise. the fellow who will be tuning the bike is one of the better guys in the midwest area as he rides a bike on the dyno just to ride if the weather is bad, i think. no really, he has talked to scott and got the low down on it. i believe this going to be interesting.
thanks, butcher

Heads are completed, cylinders are bored, not yet honed.
Carb is on deck for Thunderjet work today, and no doubt that Brian will tune it very well.
You'll want the large S&S element for that........we have those as shelved items...let us know if we should include one in return shipment.
Scott

A T-jet will is a very nice option. It will allow you to run a smaller main jet which will do 2 things...
1, increased fuel mileage...
2, Increase the power band in the midrange (because you not heavy on the fuel)

I use it on my 77 shovel as well as my 98 Evo. I also have a Wego III to make sure I have what I need..

to me it is almost like the secondaries on a 4-barrel carb. your main jet becomes a larger low speed jet and kicks in at a lower rpm. the t-jet is actually machined in the carb in front of the buttterfly and when u get into the gas it won't let the motor fall on it's face because off a lack of fuel at a higher rpm. a very good tuner has to put this on a dyno to get every thing right. when ur just cruising around say at 2000 or 2500 rpm's, your running on the main jet, which is smaller since thats all the fuel the motor needs, drop a gear and nail it , the t-jet kicks in and you r off to the races, bar what ever because the engine is getting the right amount of fuel. my e-glide has a carb and i don't have tune ability of injection. this just adds another circuit for the tuner to cuss.. i hope i got this right. questions,,,,get ahold of scott at hillside cycle and machine and he will tell you what i didn't. ha,i tried.
thanks ,butcher
