Default Air filter wet with gas.

I have been trying to chase down this problem. Need help.
I have a 2000 Softail Heritage Classic with a CV carb. It has 60,000 km on it.When the bike is running there is a very light mist of gas collecting on the back of the air filter it condenses there and drips out of the bottom of air cleaner cover.
I have rebuilt the carb with a new float needle and set the float height correct using the factory manual. (Didn't Help)
I checked the float needle seat for leaks with soapy water, it will hold 5 psi before it lifts.
I disconnected the accelerator pump. (Didn't help)
Replaced the intake gaskets.(Didn't help)
I have checked my adjustable push rod length. Its good. (Didn't help)
Compression test shows 150 back cylinder. 180 front cylinder.
5% leak down front cylinder, 10% leak down rear cylinder
I have replaced the CV vacuum slide. (Didn't help)
I am wondering if the replacing the CV needle and the CV needle jet would help?
Don't know what else to try.
Thanks for any help:
Pete
(I posted this in the general chat area, this forum is where I should have asked) Sorry

have long duration cams???
have drags or other exhausts?

reversion is one cause of your said issue.
if the carb was running before then i would say the needle and needle jet would probably be "OK" as they really do not wear rapidly and there would be other issues.
intake/exh must play nice.

I have the stock factory cams, And the exhaust is also stock.
When I disassembled the carb I noticed that is has the Dyno jet kit in it.
The problem gradually came on over about 1500 kms of riding. At first it was minor but now there is gas on the bottom of the air cleaner cover within 15 km of riding.
Last winter I installed the high flow oil pump and cam tensioner kit from Harley. I have ridden about 8000 kms with this and had no problems until this surfaced.
Thanks

on the leak down test, did you check for air by-passing via the inlet or exhaust tract?
also, on the adjustable p/r's, how did you adjust them, if using hydraulic lifters, you must set them with no oil in them so the p/r only sees the lifter spring. yep, they will rattle on starting back up till they refill but if adjusted wrong, could be holding a valve off seat when hot.
one possibility is that maybe some contaminates got into the lifter, not hard to take apart.
how do the plugs look??
some fog in the carb throat is normal, actually a good thing in some ways but should not wet the cleaner.
also, what rpm range does it seem to be worst?

I could not hear any air escaping in the exhaust or carb, I am planning on doing the leak down test again with no exhaust pipes or intake on. I will spray soapy water in these areas and see if there is any evidence of excessive leaking.
The plugs look a really nice tan colour.
I set the Pushrod length according to the instructions from the Harley Screaming Eagle Kit.
The problem seems to be the worst when accelerating. Not so much at idle.
I am observing the mist coming out of the carb when I rev the bike up while sitting still. Not excessively.
It is impossible for me to observe what is happening while riding the bike.
A dyno would be nice. lol
Thanks

well fog is a normal occurrence in those situation. you should have seen the cloud in the delorto carb at wot on my salt machine, it would soak the pants leg and the fuel would burn like fire when it soaked through.
have you installed a larger carb?? if so, that could cause issues as the air flow with become lazy and the fuel will drop out, sometimes bigger is not better.
