Default Not getting gas into carb

The bike will run on ether but no gas is coming to carb. I have put on a new fuel line and fuel filter. But still can't see any gas getting to carb. The fuel filter had been blocked but after replacment it still doesn't run.

Default still won't run

okay - there is good gas in the tank, the petcok is open and working, gas won't get from the end of the fuel line into the carb. Gas is getting up to the carb, but not into it. Any other suggestions? Can anybody recommend a good mechanic near Doylestown, PA

A mechanic to fix a fuel flow trouble, what have we become??????????????????
All you need is to drop the bowl and check the float, needle and seat.

Agree...

if you got gas to the carb, it has to be the float needle sticking.

Mine is doing the same thing almost, except I get gas into my bowl, the bike runs for about 15ish seconds and then shuts off. I dont no how to adjust or fix this problem on mine but it sounds like your carb needs cleanned out.

Default my bowl runs dry!!!

Just bought a 1987 883 hugger. It was running great for about the first 3 weeks, after I got use to it I got on the juice and when it hit 70mph it would start to surge. after about 3 weeks it finaly let me sit along the road. I let it sit for 5min an it would start back up and run fine and then when I would get on again it would start to surge and shut off. Finaly, it starts up, runs idle for about 15 seconds till the bowl runs dry then shuts off. I have cleaned the tank (nothing in it) There is no water in the fuel, I cleaned the carb without taken it off (A reputable shop rebuilt the carb over the winter) All I can figure out is the bowl is getting sucked dry, like the float is sticking till its dry then refilling after it sits. Can some 1 help me with this!!!! thanks
