For Sale 1951 EL Panhead Engine - un molested VIN numbers 51 EL 19XX - matching belly nos. 151 16XX This was a quality, professional rebuild for a restoration project that never got completed. It has been well oiled internally during storage - oil in the cases and cyl bore, and turned over periodically. It is stored in the house, under A/C . This is for sale because I have other panhead project going on and house repairs that are important & need some cash for that. I posted it here a year or two age - wasn't too serious about selling it then. - The bottom is stock original Harley Davidson cases, matching belly numbers, un- molested VIN pad & numbers, stock H-D 61" flywheels 3 1/2 inch stroke & done with Jim's shafts, the wheels are true to < 0.001. original stock oil pump , timing gears etc. The cam was either stock or Andrews equivalent - I can't remember, but I think it was the Andrews. Original H-D 3 5/16 61 cu in cylinders bored .100, that still leaves a lot of meat on the cyls - I've included recent pictures of the cylinder bores - they are clean - Heads were done by Dave Mackie with hardened seats for un- leaded gas & Nitrated Intake & Exhaust Valves. The head gasket surface was re surfaced . The exhaust spigots are good To complete it you will need the rocker arms, push rods, carb, and timer (distributor) - you will have to torque the heads & fit the intake. I have correct D-rings - the thin 3 layer steel - dishpans & screws - & cad plated hardware.This Panhead motor is suitable for your quality restoration.I have the paper work for this.I'm asking $7200 plus shipping cost - feel free to make offer, I'm willing to discuss price I expect some questions - please ask - if you are serious - I can send more pictures
