I am restoring a 1961 Servi-Car and while researching parts I found a website called 45 restoration. They carry a lot of replica parts that aren't available anymore. One example is the rear bumper and brackets for my bike. However I have also found the same part used on ebay listed as "original" for about twice the price. Does anyone have some experience in dealing with this?
Nothing fits like original parts and if you’re doing a restoration for points, you won’t settle for less. Anytime I can get original parts, I get them, but I’ll buy aftermarket to keep a bike on the road, and I’ve been happy with most everything I’ve gotten from 45 Restoration.

sarafan is a much better deal for parts especially real stuff - was told by 45 a set of brake shoes were oem - they were v twin china and then would not take them back - how we knew we had a set of v twin shoes and asked if they were real or china v twin was told they were oem Harley
they came in the exact same white box with v twins label removed and the shoes were exact - through both set in the garbage
Ditties on David Sarafan for good quality repro parts. Search the antique meets for original parts and join the AMCA if you’re not already a member. Also, for body parts, such as the cover plate in front of the box, check out L&W in Sudbury (I think), PA, if you can’t find a good original piece. He makes fenders, boxes, sidecar bodies, etc.
It looks like you’ve got ‘40’s (thereabouts) motor in ‘60-‘61 chassis.
johnjzjz - sorry to hear about your experience with 45 Resto. I haven’t had any issues other than slow shipping a few times, but I’ll keep that in mind in future dealings.
