You can put them on later if you want I agree...I went from an Ultra Classic with floor boards to forward controls and was uncomfortable at first but got use to them and love them.. What would be nice is if you could ride someones bike with forward controls for a day and see if you like it or not.

I got the mid controls mounted on the bike last night. I sat on the bike while on the lift and they feel pretty good. Unfortunately, I have to change my exhaust plans because of the right control, but that is alright.

On a rigid frame, it is always good to go with mid controls. It gives you more leverage when a big bump is coming your way. Easier to stand up. Just my opinion.

A little update... Aside from being super busy with family, work, and school I have found a little spare time to work on my bike. I have been visiting family in Colorado for the last few weeks and will return home in about a week. When I get back I am picking up the motor and trans.

I have been looking for a vintage Chris Craft deck vent for some time, I am going to use it for air cleaner cover.

My oil tank, complements of Curt.

I cut the seat pan out of 3/8 aluminum, it is about 11.5'' x 13.5''.

The seat after I bent it. I cut a 8" pipe in half to make a die for the press, it worked out okay.

I need to pull the front end apart again so I can put a lower cup with a fork stop in and replace the dust caps.

I think I am going to redo the rear fender struts. I am going to cut the strut off and round the fender, then weld some threaded bungs onto the strut so I can remove it if ever need be.

I powder coated the trees in my toaster oven, turned out pretty good. Welded the fender mount bracket which will mount to the frame and oil tank.

The trees before grinding off all the casting marks and the lock tab.

Some other random parts I have cooked in the toaster oven.

The Bad Boy tanks, I thought about staying with the colors but have not decided.

I was going to buy the tanks mounts, but decided to save $40 and make them my self.

The frame fresh from the powder coater.

Nasty legs before the treatment.

Legs after the treatment.
