As everyone else already said: looking great. I'm always impressed by these custom projects done at home. Mind if I ask where you built your technical skills for a project like this? Being able to make strong enough welds to build a frame and being able to re-time the motor isn't something everyone just knows how to do. Thanks
I was lucking enough to have my good friend and neighbor help me on this project. He had already worked on his bike and a hot rod. I wanted to learn every step and the ins and outs of my bike instead of just shipping it off to a custom shop to get it done. For the skill set it was mostly just learning from forums, google, youtube, etc. and then trail and error in the garage until it felt/looked right. Structural wise its sound and havent had any problems in the last week of riding. Started off doing short laps around the neighborhood and then back in the shop to tighten and check on everything.
Good Golly Flogging Molly! I guess it has really been since July I last posted! I just couldn't take the bike back apart when the weather was so nice I rode all the way into November! So here are some updated pics with more to come as I wrap up this home build in the garage!
