it is silver colered paint that looks like aluminum, looks great on the inside part of chrome allen head bolts. I also paint any of the Cad plated bolts that discolor over time,using a small model car type brush. I paint the exhaust clamp nuts and bolts that show....it keeps em lookin brandy new !!!

I've used rubbing alcohol and a Q-tip to get rust out of allen head bolts. Hot Toppers should keep them from rusting again or at least keep the rust from being visible.

I've not had to do that, but I might be inclined to just put a bit of WD-40 on a Q-tip and call it good. Hmmm ... I think I'll walk out and have a look at the bike now :-)
