Everything You Need To Know About Microfiber Towels
No affiliation, but I thought this was full of good info, especially for people like me who is an old school cotton towel guy.

I love microfibers. I just make sure to wash them, and they can be reused many times. Just don't drop on the ground.

Yes, I wash them all the time. The previous link has a good discussion on it. Mostly don't use fabric softener. If I had it to do over again I would buy three different color microfibers. One for cleaning, one for washing, and one for dirty areas. I don't segregate now, so I always use a new one for washing my wife's black Mustang. I just bought a big package at Home Depot, and I am going to use them only for washing the Mustang.
At first I thought it was expensive to buy microfibers, but when you consider how much you save on car washes, you come out way ahead.
I seem to do fine with Microfibers from Ace, Advance Auto and Home Depot. I don't buy the expensive ones you see on the detailing sites.
With grit guards and microfibers, I actually enjoy detailing.
