1) A good automotive shampoo after making sure your paint is really wet first (this avoids swirling and scratching the clear coat)
2) Dry off with a blower if possible rather than a chamoix leather (this helps repel the dust)
3) Wax with Meguiars or Pig spit till paintwork is really slick
This will help repel the dust but with black paint you can't really help but notice dust!!
I then use my "air force" bike dryer to literally blow the dust off before I ride!!!!
Sometimes just the act of polishing/sealing will cause static that should go away after washing. Some QD's, such as FK1's #425 have anti-static properties in them.
I have tried several products Pig Spit, Harley's own version of this cleaner, Protect All and Harly Wax (Not Harley Davidson). I find the Harly wax and Protect All work best for my bike with Black Paint.
I recently survived an accident and my bike is getting a New Fairing, Tanks and Bags and I have been doing some reading on NOT using Wax as it is not the best solution anymore for anything with Clear Coat. I live here in So Cal where it can get pretty warm and they say the wax heats up an actually attracts more dirt, sort of makes sense to me. I am not sure what to try on the new paint.

I'm not sure where you got this info, and I am no expert on the matter but, Clear coat is still paint, it just lacks pigment.
Ditto with classicbagger.
You have been given some bad info.

I've owned black cars my entire life (over 27.) I've also tried every polish, wax, gimmick, and trick on the market. In my opinion, Meguiar's Deep Crystal system Polish is the best on the market. It's fairly priced and has protected all my black cars and bikes excellently.
The air-rotor caused by the effect of the shape of the saddle bags, fender shape, and the close proximity of the exhaust is the cause for dust/dirt attraction on the rear portion of the FLHX.
I put 75K miles on my black â96 FXDWG and never experienced the âdust attraction.â As a matter of fact, when I sold the bike, it had NEVER been wet. Meguiar's and S100 products and a lot of patience did the trick
