Default Air Cleaner Cover Help

Hey Guys,

I've got an 09 FXDC with the stock air cleaner cover. I'm looking to go with something this style:

http://www.surdyke.com/hdimg/61300128.jpg

However everything I've found says it doesn't fit or I have to upgrade to stage 1.

Right now I'm running stock headers with slip ons that came with the bike when I bought it, and don't have the dough to go with a full stage 1.

Any ideas?

Looks like a stock 2014 a/c cover. 30$ on ebay.

If you change the cover it won't matter it is the filter element that lets more air in. If it comes with a new stage 1 element then a 100$ pair of zeids or veids or whatever night rider has for sale for your model bike will do.

You need an open air cleaner setup to run that cover. Ness big sucker, S/E a/c, etc.

The answer could be yes but you would have to purchase a complete air cleaner kit off the soft tail slim with back plate and all, by then you will have as much as the stage one. I have a 2012 FXDC that had slip ons as well when I bought it. It ran good but would decell pop at most shifts. I just did the stage one filter from Fuel Moto and PVII flash that they loaded before it was sent and all I can say is WOW. It runs so much better and no decell pop at all. I wish I had done it sooner.

If you have a dyna that won't fit because it is for a sportster. They make round ones for twin cams but if that picture is for the part number you are interested in it is for a sportster.

it doesn't necessarily have be that exact one, it was just a picture pulled from google images.

right now i have 0 decel popping, and the bike runs a decent temp. to get the bike tuned here is ~$500, and a couple of my friends that have gotten tunes from the dealer aren't that happy with them.
