How do I tell the difference? My pet **** won't fees fuel in on position

My 2002 Super Glide has a vacuum operated petcock. when the handle is horizontal the fuel will be turned off while the engine is running, and the engine will stall after about 2-3 minutes. When the handle is turned down (long side on bottom) and reserve is just the opposite. I think you need to become a little more familiar with the basics. Good luck.
