Default 2014 low rider seat emblem

Love the seat--hate the emblem built into it. Anyone know of a fix for this? After about an hour it starts digging into my butt and I end up with a bar and shield tattoo I did not want. I could stuff a rag in it but that kind of defeats the purpose.

With the pad off the emblem is still there ^^

OP I've noticed the same thing on occasion but if I adjust how I'm sitting it seems to go away. I love the way it looks though so I haven't made much of an effort to Get rid of it

Yeah, I ride with the pad off, too. I took the emblem off today and rode without it. More comfortable but not cool. I'm kind of thinking that an upholstery shop could make an insert piece. I also throw the sheepskin cover over it sometimes for longer rides. This is a case where the styling guys at HD overrode the function guys. It happens.

How tall are you? I'm 5'8" and rode home from the dealer with the pad on and felt severely cramped, took it off as soon as I hit my driveway

Exactly. I'm same height as you. Took the pad off as soon as I got home. Made a huge difference. No more of the knees in the air cramped feeling. Hard to believe those two little inches would make such a big difference, but they sure did.

I'm only 5' 6" tall w/a 29" inseam...the seat pad felt great just sitting on the bike on the showroom floor. After the first mile of riding, I knew the pad would have to be removed, I felt cramped and was sitting way too close to the tank.

I put the emblem on the regular seat and have no issues with it bothering me.

The more miles I put on this bike the more I like it............
