Thanks Bobber, I am not sure I see how the new Baker design resembles that - the new design has the spring stack/cup on the outside vs the inside and the compensator has all these holes drilled through it, just do not see a relationship....

Haven't seen detail layout of the Baker, but I was thinking it be a "simpler" version of the new SE Comp...meaning no thrust washers that need lub...in essence a stock like comp w/ heavier spring setup and of course have a bit of Baker touch of engineering here and there for longevity.
Comparing the 5 speed to the new 6 speed comp the older one has half the crap on it and worked great! Also, looks like Baker design has the "ramps" for sliding like the 5 speed instead of the cut through design like the new one. On the new one they cut through the comp also to create a sort of "fan" effect to splash and rotate more oil.
Lets see if MARK can explain much better with more concrete info.

Sorry I haven't checked in here for a bit, yes it is very similar to the 5 speed design with the spring cup on the outside. We have the pre-production one now being tested and it's doing great, including wheelies and 90 mph downshifts still quiet as a mouse. Here is a pic of the box with the included components.
