Guess I need to find me some glass bags so I can get a better seal. My ABS worked great until I put my stock shocks on and the would hit the bags on the compression stroke, that cup at the bottom of the shock. Ever since then it has gotten worse, so I have been trying to find a new way to make it work, glass bottom might be my only answer. The pockets/cutouts on my bags go deeper into the bags, I am guessing mine are a little tighter to the bike then yours are, about 60% of my which is hidden by the bags.

Yea, mine have hit a couple times and dinged the paint so there are a couple paint chips in the pocket of each bag but structurally they are fine ...I used the cycle visions brackets so yours are a little tighter to bike.
I managed to get several pics from different angles of the cycle visions bags and made mine as close to those as I possibly could going off pics .
On a side note , there were paint chips exactly like mine in those cycle visions bags and now I know why lol, Both times I bottomed out though were riding two up and forgot to adjust the shocks so it was my fault ... I now leave the shocks set for two up all the time and haven't had a problem bottoming out in about a year

Looks good man, I'm about to attempt something similar on my 2008 fxdb mini bagger build using a 2015 stock HD street glide outer.

This is awesome what you did, wanting to do the same thing with my memphis batwing. How did you attach it to the original front part of the fairing? As well how did you make a template for the inner part? Do you have any photos that I could view for ideas as for some reason the ones posted on here wont load.
Thanks in advance
