Memphis shades inner fairing(new pics added)
3 Attachment(s)
After doing a LOT of research , I came to the conclusion that the memphis shades fairing for 7in headlight looked better on the Dyna's than any other I found . I put the fatboy headlight on and went with the fairing last summer... Decided pretty quickly that I wished it had an inner for a stereo although I really like the way the fairing looked I started shopping others .. I came to the conclusion that to use any of the others I would have to either A- change out my drag bars or B do some serious mods to inner fairing so I decided to try and make my own .... I started by gluing 1/4 thick strips of foam to outer shell and shaped it to what I wanted . Once happy I sealed foam and layed fiberglass over it .... Then came a butt load of sanding
, primer and paint but I quite pleased with the results ! Lots of pics to follow |

My hat's off to you, good job! I've been wanting to make my own fairing and some parts out of carbon fiber or fiberglass but it's been so long since I had anything to do with it I'm too hesitant to try now.
But this is good to see! Your bike looks great in that light in your sig pic, is that purple? I think all that color on the bags makes it look great :icon_toast: |
