What did you do to your Dyna today?

This is how I did mine: drilled two 1/2" holes through the backing plate, removed the 2 rubber lines from the breather bolts to the intake, and added 1/4" I.D. (1/2" O.D.) fuel line to the breather bolts with clamps to route the fuel lines outside of the intake to a brass "T", then to a K&N 62-1330 external filter. The stock Ventilator air filter was also replaced with a K&N HD-0910 air filter. Sealed the back side of the backing plate fuel line pass-throughs with a little 100% Silicone RTV.

If you make the holes slightly smaller than the Hose OD (with no burrs and slightly chamfered edges), it will seal without any RTV. Lube up the hose and work it through.
It's like sealing fuel lines on chainsaws and Line Trimmers...If some are familiar with that

Then the fun begins
This motor is a good un
eta - if moco actually built bikes like this one - they couldn't build enough..., demand would be through the roof

well yesterday was too damn nice to stay at work all day. I left after 3 hours and spent the rest of the day burning up a tank of gas and getting sunburned.

I've only had my bike for a little over a year...new 2016 bought in March of 2017 as a leftover, my first Harley. Right away, I started reading about venting the intake to atmosphere...routing away the hot, oily, oxygen depleted gases from the intake. To me, this made total sense, and was one of the first things that I did to the bike. Tin Cup Chalice offered suggestions and pictures of how other members vented their bikes to atmosphere, others chimed in also. Some just run the vent line(s) to the ground, some run them to a catch can such as sold by DK Customs...the big thing is to keep these nasty gases out of the intake. To me, that's what this forum is all about...bikers helping bikers!
