Today I spent my gift certificate at the HD dealer. I installed the Auxiliary Brake Light/Running Light/Turn Signal Conversion Kit-69462-06D. I wanted to use the smoked lenses that I already have so I picked up some red LED bulbs from Pep Boys. Unfortunately the LED portion has a circuit board @ the base that contacted the reflector & kept them from working, I'll need to find a different style of LED. For today, I used a light coat of red engine spray paint & it's working fine so far. I really like the added benefit of more lights.

I think I may have run into the same issue. I filed down the base of the bulb and made them work.

I installed those wide foot pegs like HD puts on the XL1200T. They don't look good on the Sportster but they are more to scale on the Low Rider.

Just did it before supper so no pics yet.

I raised the cover, checked the battery, lowered the cover and noted there are 74 more days until Spring.
