I'm a Southern boy, born and raised; this cold is something I've never adapted to, not at all. I'm so pleased the Lady has decided retirement is on the horizon. I already retired, and have spent months trying to convince her it's now time to go home. I miss the heat; nothing like a leisurely ride down to the Keys in February

I get that. But I ride when I can, is all. And for some reason I feel the need to foist my traits onto others, lol. For better or worse.

Is that a Baja Designs light bar you're using?

Finally got the Brembo calipers and pads in. Fitted them up and mounted with ARP 12 point stainless bolts. Also got the Magnum Shielding Black Pearl ABS block and lower brake lines installed. I also used an ARP bolt to mount the ABS block. ARP is the only way to go when replacing fasteners IMHO. The Magnum Shielding stuff is really nice kit! The iPhone pics don’t do it any justice.

I also ordered up a set of Gooden Tite riser bushings from Alloy Art for my custom built risers and bars.

This project keeps snowballing.

Finally got my new front tire installed on the fat bob. Changed the bearings. Thanks to Cyclevisions in San Diego for swapping the bearings for me. I tried that pit Posse tool, but that ****ing thing sucked IMO.

Wet sanded my fairing and tank. Hopefully tomorrow afternoon the humidity is a little lower so I can paint them. Ready to have the bike back together before it gets too cold to actually enjoy the ride.

That's a badass ride you have there! How long does it take to swap fairings and how do they compare for wind management?

Absolutely! I’m no sissy to the cold and I’ve ridden in 24 degree weather. I don’t have any fairings or windshields on my bike to block the wind either. But I refuse to put myself or anyone else on the road in danger with all the salt and sand on the roads. Not worth the risk at all and it’s completely unsafe. I don’t care what anyone says.
