Hit the billet rear axle with another go-round with Mother's before today's ride; it's becoming a mirror now

Did a great 245 mile day ride today. Why did I wait so long to convert this Wide Glide??? I'm not going back.

Back in the garage after another exceptional ride; yea, that's a fan on her

Default Pressed 5th gear out of my 2000 FXDX

Pressed 5th out today. The service manual states "The main shaft bearing has been damaged due to this process"I did not feel excessive pressure was applied but I am finding ( after reviewing other's post) that there are nylon (plastic) ball carriers in this bearing so it seems it is not ready to go back together yet.The locking plate on the 1 7/8th in main shaft drive pulley sheared off the bolts on the locking plate. Are the teeth in the pulley, that drive the rear tire, pressed into that pulley? How else can the bolts be sheared off the locking plate? That is how I came to need to replace the final gear..... The nut and the locking plate were free-spinning around the shaft and damaged the threads on the final gear.
Thanks and "Hi" ,Carry1

The question of how the bike would handle in heavy downpours with the Hankook 265/50-15 rear tires and the 120/70-21 up front has now been answered; hurrah

Rock stable at highway speeds, and under wet braking. She's filthy now; I really don't like a dirty bike. Guess I know what I'm doing tomorrow morning

After my last few rides I've been seeing oil around the intake, more than what might come from the stock breather setup. After a closer look I realized it's leaking where the 2 breather bolts attach to the backing plate. I have a Screamin' Eagle Ventilator which I installed 2,500 mi ago. When I started the take the intake apart tonight, the 2 breather bolts were hand tight. Not sure how this happened, because I used blue thread lock and torqued them to 140 inch pounds as required. All I can come up with is maybe I didn't use enough thread lock. I try not to put too much on I guess. So I cleaned everything up as best I could and reinstalled the bolts. Time will tell...

Tried to install my new rear wheel. Got shut down pretty quick. The Kraus mount for my Brembo caliper won’t fit properly. I’m sure it’s just tolerance stacking, but still frustrating. I’m going to have to figure out how to fixture it up properly and mill it down where it goes around the tab on the swing arm.

Hopefully this only only sets me back a day or so. Getting so close to being finished...

I was debating getting the red and gold set for my road king but they sold out too fast
