Default 99 FXDX mid control shifter linkage

Having trouble finding the mid control shifter linkage for my 99 dyna fxdx. This seller on eBay says this linkage will work...

http://www.ebay.com/itm/261730545589...ht_1103wt_1161

Can anyone confirm that the 06+ linkage will work on my 99?

That is the same seller from who I got mine. Came in perfect condition, for what its worth. Did you look at the parts microfiche to see if the individual part numbers are the same?

Ronnie's Harley has a great online parts fiche viewer you can use...

Just took a quick look, and the part numbers are not the same between a '99 FXDX and a '08 FXD for the three parts - two shift levers and one shift rod as they are called. I'd be careful. About $70 worth of new parts if all else fails...

Did some searching and to me it looks like MoCo changed the shifter link p/ns in '06.

If you do an Ebay search for dyna FXD shifter linkage you'll find some parts auctions that will fit.

Do you just need the rod or all 3 pieces?
