Default 06 Street Bob sputtering

My 06 Street Bob is sputtering like the tank is empty. ( Yes is does have plenty of fuel ). This doesnt happen when I open her up, but when I am cruising at a constant speed (low or high speed) it starts to sputter like its going to run out of gas. My fuel gauge is acting wierd too. Sometimes when I do a jack rabbit start, or brake hard the gauge will show empty, even when the tank is totally full. I have a Kuryakan fuel/battery guage. I was thinking it may be a fuel filter. The bike is about 600 miles short of 50K. Plugs look good, they are very normal. No codes being thrown.
With my limited knowledge I would guess filter or injectors.
Anyone run into this problem or heard of it? Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Jay

I have run into the same situation but I had a lot less miles on my bike. For me it was bad gas. My bike was carb at the time and would die when I let off the throttle. It seemed to run OK when I kept the rpms up. Whatever it is I hope it is an easy fix.

Did this just start happening, of has it been going on for awhile? Any other mods on the bike (e.g. intake, tuner, etc.)? When's the last time you fueled? Bike stored for a bit, or ridden daily/weekly? I could go on...need more info.

check the plugs going into your injectors, common for the clip to snapp and it to let loose and do this exact thing. i would bet the bank that it is that or a hole in your fuel pump hose. Also very common and both are easy to fix there is write ups on here on how to upgrade the fuel pump hose with rubber vs the shitty plastic **** that HD uses.
this is the kit you will want

Besides the fuel delivery issues, it can't hurt to check your battery and ground cables. If they are even a little loose it can make the bike act very strange.

I had that happen on my bike and took it in because I have a warranty. Ended up being a o-ring on the fuel pump.

It has been doing it to some minor degree for about a month, then got real noticeable in the last week. I have a ness stage 1 big sucker, thunderheader, other wise rest is stock. I ride the bike everyday.i used a fuel system cleaner about a month ago when it started and that did not fix the problem. Just fueled up the other day. Hope this helps, thanks!
