Default sae 2 pin to usb car charger

I bought this connector to use as a usb cell phone charger and does not work at all on any bike.

Maybe im doing something wrong. As soon as the bike is on the sae plug should have voltage correct? Maybe this one sucks but maybe one of u know about a better way to charge your phones on the bike. Any ideas what r u guys doing?

Whittier Ca? Been there.

I have a similar device. Mine is round and has a short pigtail, but essentially the same thing. It works really well. It's either defective or the polarity is swapped on your battery/SAE wire.

I assume you've been charging your bike's battery with the SAE wire, so it probably isn't wired backward.

I have one made by battery tender very similar. Haven't use it yet. Guess I should check to see if it works. Will report back when I do.

I have this one too ($6 from Amazon), and works okay. Wonder if yours is bad...? What are you trying to charge, not an apple product is it?

I use a cigarette lighter plug connected to the fused battery charger cable accessory under the seat and routs to just in front of the tank. Works great as is for the GPS, pop in a USB adapter for the phone/bluetooth headset, connect a male cigarette plug to the battery charger and pop it in when the battery needs a little top-charge.

I have the one made by battery Tender as well, no problems. There's a bunch of different ones on Amazon.
