I decided I wanted a set of lowers as my head bounces around over 70 MPH. I could feel the wind coming from under the tank then hitting my helmet.
Just received a set of Rifle lowers for my FXDC. The acrylic is probably 30 to 40 percent thicker than the Harley windshield I have. The clamps and the bracket on the lowers are chromed well. Install was fairly easy. Sadly I am unable to take them for a ride tonight but if they work half as good as they look I will be very happy.
If your considering a set of lowers for a Dyna I would suggest the Rifles ones. Great quality and construction.
I'll post a post ride review as soon as I get the chance to take them out for a spin.
Finally got a chance to try these lowers out. Haven't been able to ride for a week due to hurting my neck somehow, getting older sucks. .
Anyway, just took a short 30 minute jaunt to work, at speeds up to 80MPH and I must say I am very impressed. Before adding these lowers my head would get bounced around like a bobble head in an earthquake after I got to 70 plus. Now it's almost completely gone. Funny thing is I still get good airflow around the windshield it's just not coMing up under the tank.
I must say I am extremely happy with the result as well as how well the lowers are constructed. A+ to Rifle Fairings for a quality product that performs as advertised.
Not a lot comes through the forks if you have a windshield. Most of what you feel is coming from under the tank. The lowers force it down further so it does not come up and hit you in the chest.
