Anyone traded his Sportster to buy a Dyna? What made you do the switch, ever missed the sporty?

 

What the? When did they start this promo? I just traded in my Nightster for a Street Bob and got Average retail

 

How you liking the SB compared to the Nightster?

 

This is an old ply to drum up business. Typically, it would have to be an XL sold in the last 12-24 mos., sometimes older.

Still negotiate the sale price of your big-twin, they should still deal with you. Never settle!

As for the Dyna vs. the 48, you'll never look back!

 

Bought a Sportster in 1987, rode it for 4 years and sold it. Not because I didn't like it but because of personal stuff. My next HD was my SB that I got in '07. Love it, much more bike in many ways.
Do I miss the Sportster? Yup, but I wish I still had every bike I ever owned. Even the Garelli.

 

I love it! Nightster to me was needing another gear when on the highway, the SB is much more stable at those speeds and has that extra gear!

Just got mine back from the shop after doing stage 1 with a dyno tune, I was all the way home!

Just did a quick google check which showed the last msrp sporty/big twin trade-in campaign was back in '09..at the height of the recession.
News to me if HD had started it up again.

Any time I have heard of this deal, is that it's a promo when you buy the sportster. You buy it, and if you trade it in within X amount of time (a year or 2?) they give you MSRP of your sportster for trade on any big twin.
