180/200 rear on a '99 Dyna... Narrower pulley and belt? Chain?
I haven't got the rear end apart to mock up anything yet, but it looks like I'm going to need to swap out the rear pulley and belt.
I know there are guys with 2000+ Dynas running wider rear tires, but the '99 is different. Anybody willing to share the recipe?
Along that line, and assuming I DO need to swap, Might I just be further ahead to swap in a chain conversion? A new pulley and belt is about the same price as a chain conversion and gives me WAY more options (sprocket brake!)
Thoughts or experiences?
