Default floorboards on 2015 Fat Bob

Just got my 2015 Fat Bob.
love the bike, hate the forward controls.
What do I need to do to change to floor boards?

Change exhaust? if so , to what? What model "take off" would work?

I picked these up for my 13 FatBob and rode 1700 miles in one week(to the tail of the dragon and back) and it was the best thing I did for the bike other than the Mustang seat for comfort.

did you also get rid of the forward controls? If so would you be so kind as to share exactly what I need to do. I am under the impression that I need to change exhaust pipes to mid control and footboards work. appreciate any guidence

Don't think the FLD floorboards will fit with the stock FXDF exhaust. They are worth whatever you have to do to mount them, tho. Best thing I've done to the bike.

Here was my solution to floor boards.... mini floor boards. Also bought a heel toe shifter from a sportster off ebay. I love it so far. I think there are harley mini boards for sale on the forums for now

All I can say, concerning your exhaust, is take your time on deciding which way to go. Think about future mods and the look that you want to go for. You`ll most likely change your mind a few times.

Possibly a wider, flatter set of pegs might hold you over for now because I`m guessing you don`t like your foot position right now.

Could always try heel rests as well. I had them on my fat bob when I first bought it. Definitely made a big difference since I am short and forwards without them felt like a stretch.

No, I mounted those on my forward controls. I dont find it much of a stretch, Im 5.10 with a 32" inseam. I did find the boards helped move my feet back just a little and with a flat foot use less tension in holding them in place on a peg. I have the V&H big radius 2-1 on my bike and have no issues with clearance. I cant see how they wouldnt work with stock exhaust either though.
