Intro and Fat Bob cutting out.

Hi folks, I'm new to this lark so I'm probably saying hello in the wrong place.
How's it going boys and girls. I've had my Fat Bob for about 3 months and I'm loving it. It's a 2015 1690 in Vivid Black. I do have a bit of a problem though.

I was traveling along the motorway today in the out side lane. I was overtaking a string of cars so I was up to about 75/80 MPH. Then the bike died. I can safely say this wasn't a pleasant experience. Outside lane, slowing rapidly with the hazards on. Trying to get over to the hard shoulder with all the cars on the inside lane flying on with total disregard for the fact that I had my hazard warning lights on. I eventually got over to the hard shoulder Having just about enough momentum. Got the bike down into neutral and hit the start button. Nothing! There was a fault message showing was what looked like an upside down F and iP beside it. It turned the bike off and on again and it cleared itself and started.

The bike has only 2200 miles on it. I'm wondering has anyone out there experienced this?

So there you go everyone and a big hello...... from Mark in Northern Ireland.

Welcome. Can't help with the problem with your FB. I have a 2014 FB and never experienced that issue. I expect that someone will be able to chime in. YOu may want to repeat your problem in a thread in the Ignition section of the Tech and Mechanical part of the forum.

Sounds like the tip code. Did it look like this:

Not sure why it would come on cruising down the road.

take it to the dealer! sounds like the gyroscope/ sensor for lean angle may be messed up and failed and though the bike fell on it's side and killed the engine.

Did they replace the sensor? That's a pretty bad time to have something like that happen!

Definitely I would have it looked at. I'm not sure what else there is to do for the tip sensor.

Were you going around a tight curve at the time? Just a curiousity question, I've never had mine do that even dragging the pegs around a corner. I wonder if there is calibration that can be done to it.
