Price then looks thats my order of preference. I make or modify baffles to get the sound and performance right.
Yeah I've read in other threads that a big city Thunder monster baffle helps get a nice deep tone. There May be other things you can do to help with power too. Although I only plan on going stage 1 so pipes aren't going to make a huge difference power wise anyway. Price wise it's hard to justify almost twice the price for a similar product.
I like your attitude and straight forward answer. I have scraped a few times for sure. The main reason for the short shocks is that I'm short and have never been able to actually sit down on a bike before lol. It's a nice feeling to be able to have your legs bent with heels on the ground.
You're the first "slammer" I've seen that did it for comfort versus for looks. I completely understand, one of the reasons I got rid of my last ADV bike was it was just too tall and top-heavy and I was tiptoeing anytime I rode without boots. I'm 5'9" with 31" inseam and I'm too short to comfortably ride many bikes produced today. Unfortunately, even after adding 1" taller shocks on my Low Rider I still scrape sometimes.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the low rider has a 4" ground clearance where the fxd has a 6" stock ground clearance. That said raising the rear an inch on your bike puts you at 4.5" at the center of the wheel base. Dropping the back of mine 2 inches puts the "center" at 5" ground clearance. That may have a lot to do with your scraping issue.
Edit: Just checked... Looks like the low rider has changed a little depending on year but the new one is 4.13". Your 04 model started at 4.6
