I don't recall seeing Apes used with an FXR fairing. That may be because they won't clear the fairing. It seems that they would need to be very narrow to do so. Which is perhaps why we always see them being used with T-Bars.

Just speculation on my part though.

There is a lot of really creative members putting some great insight into these mods. I was wondering if there is a preference to either a FLD of the new Low rider which has dual disc front brakes.

I like the looks of a FXRD style fairing and lowers. I will continue to watch this thread. There seems to be a few FLDs around here at very reasonable prices. I would be keeping my 16 FLTRU for long trips with my wife .

Sooo... I saw a pic of a FXRT fairing on an FLH the other day. All I can say is... I'm hooked. Anyone happen to know anyone whose done this and how it turned out? Mostly concerned with the fairing mounts. Thinking about it on my '13 FLH.
