I recently bought a 2006 Street Bob. It has the alarm Fob with the button you push to arm and disarm the alarm. It was not functioning when I received it from the seller but as soon as I replaced the Fob battery, I hit the button and 2 chirps and red alarm light on speedo flashing like it should, I then hit the Fob button a 2nd time to disarm it and it chirps twice again. I then put the key in the ignition and it chirped and went to start it and the alarm went off.

I can get the alarm to stop with the key in the ignition and the Fob button hit a couple of times but I can't get the alarm to disarm just using the Fob. I only received 1 key and 1 Fob.

Any ideas. The battery was just replaced in the bike before I took ownership of it. I then replaced the Fob battery. Is that the possible issue? The Fob needs to "learn" the bike again?

 

You can program the new fob to the bike, type it into Google and you should find out how to do it, can't remember what to type, but I done it a couple of years ago.
